Our story
Atlantic Website Design is located in South Florida and serves the East Coast of the U.S. (hence the name Atlantic Website Design). Atlantic Website Design has grown and is now a full-service website development company offering affordable professional website design and development, search engine optimization (SEO), blogs, content writing, and an easy to navigate state-of-the-art shopping cart customized for your specific business opportunities. We are known as Atlantic Website Design providing affordable website development along the Atlantic Coast.
Although located in South Florida, our customer base is truly worldly: Florida to New York, to New Mexico, to Haiti, to Panama, to Brazil, and to the county of Monaco.
We have been developing websites and specializing in e-commerce since 1999. Our experience includes designing, installing, updating, and maintaining complete websites and e-commerce shopping cart websites. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a specialty and many of our clients enjoy first-page placement with the search engines. Our main focus is on small to medium-size businesses, including non-profits, and organizations needing to establish a productive Internet presence.

How it all started
The owner of the company, Jack Hittle, started his computer career working for General Motors where he received software training from IBM. He soon obtained the title of Senior Software Engineer. He was also trained on process control computers and accepted a position with Modular Computer Systems in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He worked several years as a systems analyst and eventually a senior marketing specialist. From there, his path in technology allowed him to start his own company: Affordable Ecommerce Solutions which focused on shopping cart websites. The company expanded to all types of websites and the name was changed to Affordable Website Development. Recently, observing that most of the clients were along the Atlantic coast from New York to South America, the name was changed to Atlantic Website Design.

Founded: Affordable Ecommerce Solutions
After developing shopping cart websites for friends and acquaintances, more requests came for more websites, so Affordable Ecommerce Solutions was born.
2010
Affordable Website Development
The company’s offerings expanded to include all professions including non-profits and expanded to websites without shopping carts.
2015
Atlantic Website Design
The majority of clients were along the Atlantic Ocean from New York to South America. So, the company became Atlantic Website Design.
2021
Expanding to the West Coast
Our first client in California is an event company.
